TransUnion Class Action Settlement
If you have had a line of credit in the last 23 years you may be able to receive up to 9 Months of Free Credit Report Monitoring from TransUnion.

The Class includes all individuals who had an open credit account or an open line of credit (including, for instance automobile loans, bank credit cards, department store credit cards, other retail store credit cards, finance company loans, mortgage loans, and student loans)in the United States anytime from January 1, 1987 to May 28, 2008. To receive credit monitoring and related services from the settlement, you must go to this site and click on Register for Benefits to the left of the page to register. Registration began on June 16, 2008.

Do You Have An Issue With the IRS? Volunteer lawyers and accountants are available year round to help taxpayers with IRS issues, such as denial of earned income credit, audits, innocent spouse relief, dependency issues, filing back taxes, or setting up payment plans. If you have received a notice or letter from the IRS, call the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at 410-547-6537 between 9 am – 1 pm, Monday through Thursday to find out if you are eligible for this free program.

Families and individuals can have their taxes prepared for free at one of more than 13 CASH Campaign locations in the City. Qualifying families and individuals can claim the Earned Income Tax Credit and other valuable tax credits.

In 2007, for Baltimore residents the average EITC was more than $1,500.
